Our Speaker today will be Arthur Cole.

Arthur was born in Caerau, a small Welsh mining village at the top of the Llynfi Valley Maesteg, South Wales. On leaving school Arthur joined the Glamorgan Police force, and subsequently the South Wales Police where he served as a Detective for some twenty-seven years, retiring as a  Detective Sergeant in the Special Branch.

During this time Arthur dealt with all manner of serious crime including murder, robbery, blackmail, serious sexual offences, child abuse, and counter terrorism. Arthur began writing poetry, and crime thrillers in 2016,at the late age of 66

To date Arthur has written over a thousand poems, and fourteen crime novels together with his co-author Nigel Williams.  In relation to the crime thrillers, all the plots are based In South Wales, and many of the locations can be easily Identified by the readers.
